The play "Anna Karenina" by Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy, dramatized and directed by Nikolai Polyakov, will visit on July 5, 2019 at the birthplace of LN Tolstoy, as part of the International Theater Festival "Tolstoy Weekend" in Yasna Polyana, Russia.

 

In the open air, in the woods, there will be an impressive meeting of Anna Karenina with 1200 spectators.

The program of the festival has over 30 events, including the 3 spectacle of the novel Anna Karenina, a play on Tolstoy's stories, a puppet show and a musical performance in memory of the locals of Yasnaya Polyana, about Tolstoy and the time in which he was lived.

 

Special events for students (play - journey) will introduce them to War and Peace, and the PERMM Museum of Contemporary Art project will involve children to paint Tolstoy not as a great writer, but as a resident of Jasna Polyana. 

 

The online education project, in turn, prepares a series of podcasts for classical literature in modern theater.
