On September 15, 2018 proled the VIII All-Ukrainian Bulgarian Council in the Ackerman Fortress, located near the town of Belgorod Dnestrovsk, at 80 km from the city of Odessa. The Bulgarians from Bessarabia and Tavria gathered once again for a gathering honoring traditions, the national spirit and their roots. A true worship of the ancestors memory and a legacy for the young.
The organization of the Council is under the auspices of the Association of the Bulgarians in Ukraine - a Bulgarian non-governmental non-governmental organization working for the unification of the Bulgarian diaspora, revival and development of the mother tongue, inclusion of the young generation in the cultural and historical values ​​of the Bulgarian people.

This year, tens of thousands of Bulgarians from Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria and many friends of the Bulgarian people gathered for a gathering. This is a holiday of the Bulgarian national self-esteem, a holiday of song and dance art of the Bulgarians.

The concert program was attended by the famous performers Valya Balkanska and her bagpipers, Desi Dobreva, Bulgarian folk ensembles from Ukraine, Moldova and Bulgaria, as well as - 800 Bulgarian amateurs from Bessarabia, Tavria, Moldova and Bulgaria, among which are the famous Kuker group from Lower Sekira, Pernik District.
