Michael Carson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he graduated from the Institute of Art and Design at 1996. He worked as a graphic designer and painted his first painting three years after graduating from college. He immediately realizes that he has found his calling and in 2001 began to paint actively. His paintings are marked by gloomy realism, reminiscent of French impressionists and post-impressionists, artists such as Edgar Degas and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Michael Carson is a mostly figurative artist who loves to tell stories. His images are usually found in bars, nightclubs, cafes, and at home in an intimate atmosphere.
