Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most distinguished and respected men in the Renaissance era. Born on 15 April 1452, into a simple family of lawyer. From a young age, he had a different feeling and outlook on the world around him - he wanted to get to know the "secret of the universe." But besides curiosity and dyslexia, he had the gift of painting, which is why, when he was 14 years old, his grandfather sent him to apprentice in the studio of the sculptor Andrea del Veroccio, known for his time. It was thanks to his fame and skillful hands that this sculptor was a favorite of the Medici family - one of the most famous Renaissance bankers of Florence at the time. Under the expert guidance of the master, Da Vinci developed a sense not only of painting, but also of mechanics, carpentry, chemistry and metallurgy.

His first earliest sketch dates back to 1473, when he completed the Santa Maria landscape drawing using only a pen and an ink cartridge. Over time, his interests focused on the study of human anatomy, landscapes and beauty in straight lines. He perfected the technique of drawing, which aroused the admiration and "professional envy" of many famous Renaissance artists, such as Raphael and Michelangelo. The two tried their hardest to get in touch with Da Vinci's style. Although he was a member of the artists' guild at that time, he continued to work as an apprentice until 1476 to perfect his craft.

In 1500 he painted the portrait of Francesco Joconda's wife, who later became the most famous and still known painting known as "Mona Lisa". This painting, as well as other well-known works of the best authors, are stored today in the legendary Louvre Museum.

Due to his diverse interests, the artist could hardly finish any of his projects or ideas. In life, Da Vinci managed to create a rich collection of notes, diaries and drawings reflecting his ideas and views, one of his most remarkable sketches being the Vitruvian Man. This image is a "law of proportions", based on the description given by the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius, which is why it bears its name.

Along with sketching, Leonardo has built up a reputation as a "technical pioneer" at a time when people increasingly trusted priests preaching that everything new was created by the Devil. His different perspective on the development of mankind led to the sketching of many machines, as well as the first prototype of an armored tank. It is powered by solar power and powered by a double hull, a machine not known at the time. He was interested in metallurgy, engineering, optics, hydrodynamics and human anatomy, and these were his first ideas for a machine to test the strength of the metal and the Renaissance version of the parachute.

Today, in the age of the Internet, we take for granted many modern technologies. Without thinking that even in the dark times of the Middle Ages, and then during the Renaissance, there were creators like Da Vinci who were innovators and people with a vision for the future. Against them were always the majority of the unenlightened, who, instead of adopting their revolutionary ideas, copied their genius to the Devil.
